It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Katerine Emma Ghislaine Malette on April 7, 2024.
Katerine was brought into the world in Grande Cache, Alberta by her loving birth parents Michelle Moulun and Phil McNeil (Teryl McNeil). She was raised in Timmins, Ontario by her devoted parents Carmen Plante (Eric Wickens) and Yves Malette (Carolyne Girard).
Katerine was blessed with many siblings who cherish her: Dominik Malette, Paskale Malette, Robin Wickens, Corey Wickens, Kevin Légaré, Dan McNeil, Jake McNeil, Keelin McNeil and Carter McNeil.
Some of Katerine’s fondest childhood memories included her artistic projects, dance classes and impromptu living room performances, participating in the improv team, summer camps and photoshoots and countless other cherished moments with her parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
As a young adult, Katerine obtained a Bachelor of Science from Université de Montréal and eventually moved to Alberta. There, she gave birth to three precious daughters: Kamrynn, Ava and Faith. It is through them that Katerine’s strengths and beauty will live on.
Katerine was a stunning, intelligent and passionate person. Her sense of humour could light up the darkest spaces. It’s hard to say goodbye to her, but it’s comforting to know we carry her spirit with us wherever we go.
Katerine’s life will be honoured and celebrated privately.
