ROBYN KATHLEEN MUNCE

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Robyn Munce. Robyn was born on June 2, 1962 and passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023.

Robyn grew up in Whitmore Park in Regina and attended Massey School and then Campbell Collegiate. As a young girl, she was a member of Sea Cadets, #43 RCSCC Impregnable and had an opportunity to visit San Diego and Hawaii with them. Robyn moved to Edmonton as soon as she graduated Nursing School and was a sister / member of the United Nurses of Alberta. She loved being a nurse and working the night shift.

In her spare time, Robyn loved to listen to live music and attend concerts, especially U2, Rolling Stones, Colin James, Lady Gaga, and The Dead South. She would also frequent Blues on Whyte and Blues festivals, and enjoyed many styles of music, especially alternative, blues, and Cajun zydeco.

Robyn loved animals, and over her life had 3 cats, two horses, and two dogs, Jake and Jenna. She loved taking road trips with her friends, Lisa and Emily, and enjoyed entertaining and cooking for guests, which she was quite adept at. She had a keen interest in plants, trees, and shrubs, and an artistic side that allowed her to make beautiful stained glass designs.

Robyn was predeceased by her mother, Eunice Munce in October of 1995, and her father, Fred Munce, in December of 2003. She is survived by her brother, Kelly, 3 half-sisters Wendy, (Jim) Selvage, Lucille, (Bob) Verhoeve, and Pat Clark.

Robyn was a kind, beautiful soul and she will be terribly missed.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made on Robyn’s behalf to Second Chance Animal Rescue Society, from where she adopted Jake and Jenna.

Robyn’s Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home, 6403 Roper Road NW, Edmonton AB
