It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kristine (Tin) Joy Guevarra, on February 24, 2023 at the age of 36. Left to cherish her memory are her twin daughters; Jowela Mae and Angelica Joy Guevarra, her Mother; Portia Garferio, Brother; James, as well as numerous family and friends. Kristine was predeceased by her sister; Hazel in April of 2022. Tin is a Registered Nurse by profession back home in the Philippines. She decided to work abroad in order to provide a brighter future for you twin daughters, her family and her relatives. Before coming to Canada she was working in Hong Kong as a nanny, the fastest way to get a job in Canada. She is the breadwinner to her family back home and she sponsors her relatives to go to school. She works hard and saves money for her dreams. Her biggest one being to buy a house before her daughters arrive her in Canada. Her dream came true, last quarter of 2022 she moved into her dream home. She was planning to attend school to update her nursing profession when she gets her PR. February 19, 2023, was the happiest day when she received her PR confirmation. She had big plans for her daughters. Her dreams just stayed for a few days, she was gone too soon. Tin always put her family first before herself. All who knew her will miss her generous and bubbly personality. “It’s time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad, and I’d much rather say Hello. Hello to a new adventure!” You will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home, 6403 Roper Road, Edmonton, AB T6B 3G6.
