It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Edgardo (Boy) Torres on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the age of 65 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Eutiquiano and Justina Torres, and sister, Victoria Torres-Gray. Boy will forever be missed by his wife & partner of 39 years, Lita Dolojan; his sisters, Carmen, Elenita and Mary Anne and his nephews and nieces, Jessie, Jason, Melissa, Dawn, Julienne, Joanne, Marie, 11 of his grandchildren, and many faithful friends and colleagues. Boy was born in Cavite, Philippines on July 20, 1956. He migrated to Canada when he was 21 years old, together with his parents and a sister. He was a certified Machinist and worked as one for 22 years. He loved to play basketball and golf and was one of the founding members of the Philippine Basketball Association in Edmonton. Boy will forever be remembered as a loving, loyal, generous and compassionate husband, brother, uncle, and friend. A heartfelt thank you to the rehab staff from Glenrose Hospital for their kindness, patience and untiring care. Funeral Service will be held at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home, as follows: Viewing on Thursday, February 10 at 6:00 pm; Memorial Service and Cremation on Friday, February 11 at 12:00 p.m.
